At the Violet Hour (ATVH) is a costa rican trio formed in 2019 that blends pop, darkwave and rock with ambient textures and progressive elements. ATVH is Alex Rojas (Drums & Bass), Fernando Fonseca (Synths & Guitars) from the band Lion with the Head of a Man and Hellen Quirós (Vocals) from Fractal Sun and Ardens Luna .
The music comes from the experimentation with soundscapes, poetry and literature mixed with ambiences filled with static, uncomfortable frequencies, pianos and vocal arrangements that delve between rock music and choral arrangements. All the lyrics come from T.S Eliot's poem The Waste Land.
The debut self-titled album "At the Violet Hour" will have 6 tracks and a watercolor companion done by the artist A. (Adriana Duarte)
